RATTIE SCORES, RUSSIANS TIE SERIES:
Prospect Ty Rattie scored a goal and chipped in an assist in Canada's 6-3 loss to Russia at the 2012 Canada-Russia Challenge in Yaroslval on Friday.
Canada won on Thursday by a 3-2 score; Rattie was held off the scoresheet in the series openber.
The 2012 Canada-Russia Challenge now shifts to Halifax, Nova Scotia for the final two games on Aug. 13 and 14.
PAIR OF D-MEN OPEN SECOND TEN PROSPECT RANKINGS:
2012 draft pick Nick Walters was the recipient of a large surge of votes in one day earlier this week, while 2010 pick Jani Hakanpää received consistent and steady support in the voting.
The inexplicable nature of Walters' surge, coupled with the fact that Hakanpää has been getting votes at every position since the first week of this poll, gives us not one, but two winners this week. Hakanpää will be awarded the number 11 position in the Blues' prospect ranking, while Walters will slot in at number 12.
