Is it just me, or does there always seem to be a team each season that's been anointed by God Himself? That team that you can look at and go "yeah, they're scary - hate to play them in the playoffs" this season is, inexplicably, the Colorado Avalanche.
This isn't a case of the meek inheriting the earth. Their line-up has always generally been pretty good. Patrick Roy is the Anti-Meek. Witness:
I would be lying if I didn't say that I was cheering Roy on in this. Bruce Boudreau irritates me to no end. If Roy tries this with Ken Hitchcock, I don't think that the outcome would be nearly as clean. I hope that someone's reinforced the glass tonight.
This is your GameDay Thread. Let's give the Avalanche a challenge. Let's actually get a puck past J.S. Giguere. Let's keep our fingers crossed that nothing gets thrown.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
