"Game Time" PROSPECT SUNDAY for November 24, 2013

"Hello, Ottawa? Doug Armstrong here. Say, are you guys interested in David Rundblad at all..." - Dilip Vishwanat

Sebastian Wännström's big week in The Zoo earns him a return trip to the press box at Allstate Arena. Wolves drop two over the weekend (one in OT), and K-Wings win a pair over the weekend (one in OT). Here's the scoop on the Blues' pro prospects.

Not hockey-related (although there'd be a rink and a program there if I had Tom Stillman's money), but give it up for the 2013 Staunton High School Bulldogs. The Big Red are making their first-ever appearance in the IHSA Class 2A State Title game next week, vs. Sterling Newman Central Catholic.

GO BIG RED !!!

Late Power-Play Goal Frustrates Wolves

ROSEMONT, IL --- Grand Rapids recorded a power-play goal with 48.7 seconds left to register a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Wolves Saturday night at Allstate Arena.
Right wing Shane Harper scored for the Wolves (9-7-0-2) while Matt Climie stopped 22 shots in the hard-fought loss to the Midwest Division-leading Griffins (13-4-1-1).
"We came out flat the first five minutes but then I thought we controlled the game," said Wolves head coach John Anderson. "We aren't scoring many goals right now and when you don't bury your chances it completely changes the complexion of the game."
