Predators At Blues GameDay Thread

Stay connected for news and updates

Dilip Vishwanat

It's the third meeting of the four played this year against these divisional rivals - can they keep the momentum against Pekka Rinne and the rest of the team to the south?

This shortened season is interesting. The Blues are playing two games five times -- the Detroit Red Wings (aready played twice) and the Chicago Blackhawks (once). The Blues have played the Columbus Blue Jackets once, leaving four matchups left, but they've played the Nashville Predators twice already. Tonight will mark the third time out of four these two team play, and the Blues seem to be back on the ball against them. They're 2-0-0 against the Predators, and are hoping to have a 3-0-0 record packed away before they meet the Preds again in April.

Unfortunately, the Blues are out their starting goaltender, Jaroslav Halak. Halak recorded a shutout in his last game against the Predators, but Elliott also didn't allow any goals the last time he was in net against the Preds. It's all good. Elliott is 3-1-1 lifetime against the Predators, with a teeny 1.14 GAA.

Vladimir Tarasenko could stand to add a few points, since he's losing out in rooking scoring to Cory Conacher. Also, Barret Jackman hasn't scored a goal for one game. YOU SUCK.

Seriously, though, this is your morning chat thread. There should be some three questions with Dirk Hoag from On the Forecheck if I can get to the computer during the day, and of course a game day preview and a game day thread. Stay tuned!
