Haven't seen a regular mid-week links thing since the season started so I thought I'd add one for today.
For those of you who missed out on last night's beating. Jeremy Rutherford talks to Ken Hitchcock and David Backes. They seem to feel this loss might have been a bit deserved.
Hockey Weekend Across America! Get the kids out on the ice and help them learn how to play hockey. This will prevent kids from asking questions later in life like "Why did the silly man in the black and white stripes blow his whistle for no reason?" on offsides calls and allow them to understand just how a referee from 200 feet away can determine that a shoulder to the chest equals deliberate head contact. More importantly, the 15th is Wear Your Jersey to Work Day. I'll have to get out the Louie 00 jersey I've been saving for a while...
The Springfield Jr. Blues: Yes, I'm highlighting my hometown team even if they're in sixth place in their division. The North American Hockey League has had so many teams come and go last season and at least two teams are going away at the end of this season. Thanks to this churn new playoff rules for the division had to be created for league parity. The Jr. Blues, however, have gone 20 years without moving or going dark. Tickets are cheap, comparatively speaking. For those of you in near Springfield, there are six home games left. Come in and see if the boys can keep their playoff spot! Only ten bucks, $5 for kids under 18.
And for news you can use: OH NOES HOW WILL I GET MY JUNK MAIL OFFERS TO REFINANCE MY HOUSE ON WEEKENDS NOW? Seriously. I won't miss getting bills on weekends nor will I miss all the refinancing offers using mailers that are supposed to look like they're mailed from the federal government.
