The Blues' current losing streak can't last forever, right? Sure, the last three games they've lost haven't been the best performances, and sure, coach Ken Hitchcock is calling them out for being a bit more "me first" than "team first," but if they listened to him yesterday during the optional skate/video session, things should be fine. Right?
The Ducks are beatable -- the Dallas Stars frustrated them last night to the tune of a 3-1 loss. Tonight'll be a bit different, though, as it won't be Jonas Hiller in net. Hiller's been more than beatable this season, with a .872 SV% and a 3.69 GAA. He's not the guy the Blues will be seeing tonight. No, in net for the Ducks is Viktor Fasth. Aside from sounding like he needs to be a Cold War era Bond villan, he's also 4-0 with a teeny 1.06 GAA and a .957 save percentage.
Dammit.
Brian Elliott is back in tonight. It sure would be nice if the defense (and by defense I mean as a team, not just our D) would give him some sort of confidence by limiting shots on net. They've done a piss poor job of that the past three games, and it's cost the team. Also, if Elliott could stop a puck, that would be helpful too.
Let's break this streak. Let's go Blues.
