Prospect Pre-Season Production: Carrier Scores In Loss To Memorial Cup Champs

Yes, the QMJHL is already playing pre-season games (have been for over a week now), and Blues' prospects are already being noticed.

2013 draft pick (58th overall) William Carrier scored the game's first goal for the Cape Breton (Sydney, NS) Screaming Eagles, but it did not hold up as the Eagles were brought down by the Memorial Cup champion Halifax Mooseheads, 4-3.

Carrier also picked up a roughing penalty in a late third-period scrum with Mooseheads' bluleiner Trey Lewis, as the Eagles were buzzing the net trying to get the equalizer.

Game report from the QMJHL web site is HERE.
