Would you like a litmus test to see if a team is disliked? This blog post from The Legion of Blog, which was published after the Kings defeated the Canucks 1-0, is angry. The title? "Why the L.A. Kings deserve the Canucks’ negative reputation after last night".
Tonight's Competition
Basically, you have a Canucks fan calling out the Kings (specifically Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty) for being more floppy than the manhood in an episode of Game of Thrones. Despite the fact that it's nothing that we don't already know, the post is still comical and worth a read.
Sure, the Kings have beaten us the last two seasons in the playoffs, but the way I look at it is the past is past. Look at it, learn from it, and move on, because in the present anything can happen.
While I don't expect the brawl-fest from Tuesday, I do expect a tight game, yet a tight one more entertaining than Tuesday's win over the Coyotes. The Kings and Blues dislike each other. That's fine. It makes for good hockey.
The Kings'll be looking for revenge for the 5-0 drubbing the Blues gave them the last time that they were in town. Don't expect them to turtle tonight.
Except for Jordan Nolan. He will.
