Awesome story of a warrior and hockey player with a Blues connection. Blue skies Derek.
"St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Wednesday the club has re-signed forward David Perron to a two-year contract." EDIT: From your No. 1-seeded beat reporter Jeremy Rutherford comes the terms: David Perron has signed a two-year, 4.3 million extension with Blues. He will be paid 1.8 and 2.5 next 2 yrs.
Towerbrook, the biggest investor in the Blues after Dave Checketts purchased the team, is pulling out. This could mean a lot, or it could mean nothing. The Blues losing a significant revenue source hopefully doesn't turn the team into a Phoenix situation and hopefully it won't prevent the Blues from being active with free agents this summer. Looks like we have some news to follow for the next few months. I would much rather it be player moves. I guess Gallagher should re-up his season tickets if we want David Perron back.
Actual Blues news! Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says the the man with no first name will be named the Blues 23rd head coach in franchise history in a few days. I guess the Blues are waiting until Payne is done with tax season. More on this later, I'm sure.

Dude in the blue windbreaker in the background. I can't tell if he's gassing himself or what. Pure comedy, get this guy a show.
Pretty good and fair assessment of the players of the Year. Article nominates Murray as coach of the year, TJ Oshie as the Runner up Rookie of the Year, Mason as the Runner up Suprise Player of the Year and also as the Runner up Goalie of the Year. Also be sure to Vote Andy on the Fan Poll
The Post-Dispatch politics blog takes a look at Oshie's run for mayor.
