You never know who you're going to meet when you stand out on the streets of St. Louis and try to sell a magazine to hockey fans. Well, that's not entirely true. You do know for a fact that you're going to meet:
-The drunk guy you can smell from five feet away who really, really wants to know when you're going to give him a job selling papers. Boy, it's really too bad that we're fully staffed right now.
-The guy who used to sell papers for you, needed bus fare to get home from Kentucky once, promised to pay you back and then disappeared. Now he wants a job again. Probably should have let him walk home from Kentucky. He might almost be here by now.
-Lots of people who hope that you're the one guy scalping tickets who doesn't physically scare them. You are not.
But sometimes you meet people who really have something unique to offer. Hell, I think I met about half of our current writers for the paper on the street. Of course, only about half of those guys will tell us their real name, but hey, what do we care about real names?
During the latest homestand, we met yet another helpful guy who wanted to do something for the paper. And so, we proudly present to you the newest member of the GT Staff, Andrew D'Angelo, our staff photographer.
Andrew will be providing us our own source of game photos for use in the paper and on this website. We think that you'll like many of them. Our early favorite: the TJ Oshie SO game winner that shows the puck in the back of the net. We like it better than the one that was floating around the internet the next day.
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's about 5,000 more words for you. Thank you, Andrew.
