With their fifth-round selection, the Blues have chosen RW Cody Beach of the Calgary Hitmen (WHL). The 6'5, 185-pounder from Kelowna, BC was ranked 181st in North America by Central Scouting, and put up a 3-11-14 scoring line (plus-6, 157 PIM) in 51 regular-season games, and a 1-7-8 line (plus-10, 34 PIM) in 19 playoff games for the two-time WHL champions.
