WEEK IN REVIEW:

Playoff Seeds

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:

Now that the Rivermen have qualified for the Calder Cup playoffs, all that's left is to determine where they're seeded and who their first-round opponent will be.

All of that will be decided today. The Rivermen will face with the Milwaukee Admirals, Houston Aeros, or Hamilton Bulldogs when they open the playoffs later this week; who they play will be determined by what happens in two games today.

The Texas Stars and Oklahoma City Oil Barons each play today; Oklahoma City plays at Houston at 4:05 Central, while the Stars take on San Antonio at 4:30 Central. The graphic at left covers all of the scenarios that can result from the possible outcomes of these two games.

If the Rivermen end up in third place in the West Division, their first-round playoff opponent will be Houston. If the Rivs end up in fourth, they will travel to Milwaukee to start the playoffs. If both Oklahoma City and Texas win, and push the Rivermen into fifth place, they will cross over into the North Division and open the playoffs in Canada against Hamilton.

A Texas loss and an Oklahoma City loss will result in Peoria finishing in third place in the West Division.
