1. Some different faces -- but not necessarily new ones -- appear on this week's listing of the "Fab Five" prospects in the Blues' system. All of this week's picks have made the cut at least one other time this year, and one player is returning from last week.

THREE STAR SELECTIONS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 12-08-12
LW prospect Jaden Schwartz moves up from second star last week to capture first star honors this week on the strength of a 2-2-4 scoring line (plus-1, 2 PM), capping off a six-game point scoring streak.
Schwartz' teammate, goaltender Jake Allen, also figured prominently in the four wins in four games Peoria managed this week. The Fredericton, New Brunswick native posted the Rivs' first goose egg of the 2012-13 season, turning aside all 35 shots fired at him by the Grand Rapids Griffins during a 3-0 road win in Michigan on Friday.
This week's Third Star is Kamloops (WHL) blueliner Joel Edmundson. The defensive-minded defenseman was recently traded to an offensive powerhouse in Kamloops, and he has ratcheted up his offensive output accordingly, contributing a goal and four assists in five games for the Blazers this week.
Honorable Mentions this week go to Peoria blueliner Mark Cundari and Saint John (QMJHL) forward Ryan Tesink. The two offensive-minded prospects didn't dent the twine themselves in the loast seven days, but piled up seven assists between them to help propel their clubs to successful weeks.
Just missing out this week were Peoria's Evgeny Grachev, who tallied the game-winning goal in Peoria's come-from-behind 3-1 win over Milwaukee last night, and Moncton scoring star Yannick Veilleux. Veillux put up a shorthanded goal and a pair of helpers in three games this week, but a minus-3 mark for the week kept him off of this week's listing.
