WOLVES GAME RECAPS
Oct. 27, 2013
ROSEMONT, IL --- The Chicago Wolves failed to tally Sunday as they were shut out by the Charlotte Checkers 5-0 on Peanut Awareness Day at Allstate Arena.
Chicago goaltender Jake Allen made 27 saves for the Wolves (3-5-0-1), who were unable to figure out Charlotte netminder John Muse. Muse (2-0-0) kicked out 27 shots to post his second shutout in as many games this season.
"Tonight was disappointing," said Wolves head coach John Anderson. "We played well in our past two games and I thought we were moving forward, but this was a big step back."

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK --- The Chicago Wolves started off their circus road trip with a bang, defeating the Oklahoma City Barons 6-0 Friday night at the Cox Convention Center.
Forwards Shane Harper (2G, A), Ty Rattie (2G, A), and Keith Aucoin (2G, A) paced the Wolves offense with three points each, while centers Alexandre Bolduc (2G) and Corey Locke (2A) added two-point efforts. Goaltender Jake Allen (4-2-1) backstopped Chicago (4-5-0-1) to the win, stopping all 21 Barons shots and earning the shutout.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK --- Chicago (4-6-0-1) got goals from Ty Rattie and Pat Cannone, but allowed three goals in the third period and never held the lead. Goaltender Jake Allen (4-3-1), coming off a shutout on Friday, denied the Barons on 29 of 33 shots.

PAW PRINTS: Forward prospect Dmitrij Jaskin remains sidelined with an unspecified injury ... Jaskin has not played since being helped off the ice midway through the 4-2 home loss to San Antonio on Oct. 13 ... Rattie (4 G, 1 A) leads all Blues' prospects assigned to the Wolves in scoring ... His four goals are good for a tie with veteran Mark Mancari for the team lead, and his five points place Rattie fifth in the Wolves' scoring parade ... Jani Hakanpää's plus-3 is best among Blues' prospects assigned to Chicago, and second only to journeyman Shane Harper's plus-5.

WING TIPS: The K-Wings have scored just eight goals in four games this season, six of them coming in Friday's win over Toledo ... In Jordan Binnington's two starts, both losses, he has received only one goal's worth of support in each game, while allowing a total of five goals on 56 shots in the two games ... New arrival Cody Beach played both games over the weekend for the K-Wings; fellow newcomer Cade Fairchild suited up for Friday's home win, but did not make the trip to Toledo for Saturday night's rematch with the Walleye.
