GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Montreal Canadiens, Nov 5, 2013

Jaroslav Halak returns to Montreal in a winnable game for the Blues. Will they come home with two points?

East coast trips mean early start times - puck drop is at 6:30 tonight, so adjust schedules accordingly. The reason the drop's at 6:30 and not 6:00 is because the Habs will probably have 45 minutes of pre-game ritual before they take the ice.

I heard they sacrifice a Maple Leaf before every game.

Carey Price will be in the net for the Canadiens tonight. Even with a 6-6-0 record, he still has a 2.19 GAA and a .932 save percentage, so I think it's fairly clear he's not the reason that the Habs are average so far this year. Their 2.73 goals per game puts them firmly in the middle of the pack, and their 2.07 goals allowed a game is good for fourth. They're an interesting case study in something, all right - I just don't know what it is. Heck, their power play is just a smidge below the Blues'.

There's no real reason that they should be middle of the pack other than the fact that the Flortheast is one hell of a competitive cut throat division.

This is your GameDay Thread. Let's make Carey smoke a pack to calm his nerves before the game... and after. Let's get Jaroslav Halak another standing ovation. Let's get back to dominating Eastern Conference teams.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
