The Blues are off to the frozen tundra of Winnipeg to take on the underachieving Jets.

Hey, I'm pretty sure that you've heard it's cold in Winnipeg. Seriously. It's really damn cold in the 'Peg. It's so cold in Winnipeg that they go to the MTS Centre to warm up. Of course, when you have a little over 15K wedged together in a tiny building, I'd assume it'd be warm in there.

The Winnipeg Jets have 32 points in three fewer games played than the Blues. Honestly, you can't hope to hang in the Central Division when your defense has more holes than Swiss cheese and your GOALIE OF TOMORROW, TODAY! has a 2.76 goals against average. You can't underestimate Ondrej Pavelec, though, because once in a blue moon he's on, and when he's on, he's on.

The Blues, however, have been off. They've lost three of their last four games, and had an absolute clunker of a first period and a half against the New York Islanders that they escaped from because they were playing the New York Islanders. The Jets might be in the bottom half of the conference, but they can make you pay if you don't play a full 60 minutes.

This is your morning open thread. Come say hi to the nice fellows at Arctic Ice Hockey, then swing back by for a game preview from CCR, a GDT, and then a RBR recap of hopefully a big Blues slumpbusting win.
