First off, let me start off by saying hi to the Blackhawks fans in town tonight. The city of St. Louis appreciates your tax dollars, the hotel that you're staying at is pretty ok with your money, and the Blues organization appreciate every $10 beer that you're going to buy tonight.
I very sincerely hope that our evening is made even better by the Blues winning for the fourth game in a row against Chicago.
Tonight's Competition
Tonight's Competition
Because let's face it - this rivalry has never been about how successful one franchise is versus the other. It's about the fact that sports teams from Chicago (except the Bears and Bulls and Sox) are evil - and how teams from St. Louis (except the Rams because who the hell cares) are evil to you guys. I think that in general fans from both cities are satiated with their city's sport success, even if it has come from one team out of several for each city.
This is more about the fact that these two teams absolutely hate each other, and there's nothing more fun to watch than abject hatred.
This is your GameDay Thread. Let's get two points. Let's rain on Patrick Sharp's parade. Let's see if Jonathan Toews can follow the lead that Canada's already set today and lose. Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
