The last time that the Blues had a back-to-back game that started so soon on a Sunday, they lost 4-1 to the Washington Capitals after a see-saw 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Tonight's game begins at 5:00 Central, so if you're feeling like this is a case of deja vú, I don't blame you.
Last night's 6-5 shootout win over the Chicago Blackhawks came with a decent portion of the team sick or injured, and tonight's starter Brian Elliott playing two out of three periods. Tonight, the Blues might not have a lot of get up and go, because last night's game was the hardest that I've seen them fight for a win in a long time.
Of course, the defense might have some pep, because they took most of last night off.

Regardless, a 3-0 record against the Blackhawks for the season so far looks good. A 11-0-1 record against the Central Division's also pretty nice. The Blues've defeated the Stars once so far this season, a 6-1 stomping at Scottrade back on November 23rd.
This is your morning open thread. Go on and discuss the US's game against Germany, while you're waiting on a game preview and your GDT. Don't forget that it's Prospect Sunday, to boot! Head over to Defending Big D for their take on tonight's matchup.
