The Dallas Stars are in the thick of things in Conference III, and yet for some reason they're the team that no one talks about. Winnipeg and Nashville are disappointing, Colorado and Minnesota are pleasant surprises. The Blackhawks and Blues are right where they're supposed to be. But the Stars? Nothing worse than being the middle child.
That makes them a danger to act out for attention, and they've been doing it a lot recently. They're 6-3-1 in their last ten games, and as CCR pointed out in his game preview, are firing everything at the net while keeping a bunch out of their own. Kari Lehtonen has quietly been assembling an excellent season that's been shockingly free of major injury. Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn have been fantastic. The Stars, like most of the teams in the Central, are no easy write off.

The Blues will be battered and beaten up tonight. No Sobotka, no Steen, probably no Backes or Roy, no Polak, no Leopold... but if they can manage a game like they did yesterday, the Blues are no write-off either. Elliott will get the start today after coming in to play relief after the first period. Sergey Andronov will get a taste of some action tonight, more likely than not.
This is your gameday thread. Comment like you don't have a voice left from last night. Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
