GameThread for Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues, Feb 28, 2013

The Central Division's best rivalry, at least to Blues fans, gets its second game of the year tonight at the Scottrade Center. Will the depleted Blues pull this off?

In case you've missed it, the Blues are kind of banged up right now. Of course they are. No Alex Steen, no Andy McDonald, no Vladimir Tarasenko... no problem? All the team has to do is get out there and play hockey like they want to win. No shifts off, no coasting -- just hard hockey, and they should be fine.

Keep your fingers crossed. One Dave Bolland does not equal an entire Blues line, and the Blackhawks have been playing their best hockey possibly in franchise history. Would a win be a huge momentum-boost to the Blues? Of course. Will the Blackhawks care much about a loss? Probably not, and they shouldn't. Would we care if the situation were reversed? Nah.

But that's not the point -- we're not worried about how a loss impacts them; we're worried about how a win impacts our team. Let's get two points, let's break this streak, and let's build on Saturday's win against the Blue Jackets.

Let's Go Blues.
