Yes, we know, the game officiating sucked on Thursday night. Penalties that should have been called on both teams went ignored, phantom calls went up, and when he had the gall to complain, Ken Hitchcock wound up getting a misconduct penalty.
Thank God he didn't complain in public, or else Hitch might be a little lighter in the wallet.
Anywho, the reffing was a big deal. It wouldn't've been had the Blues scored more than one goal in regulation. What you want to see from them tonight is more than just scoring, though. We need to see the fire and antagonization that the Blues have shown during the game shifted from just bugging the hell out of the other team to something more productive.
Brian Elliott is back in goal tonight, which bodes well for the Blues. Will he be a brick wall as he continues to chip away at the damage that one week that no one remembers in February did to his stats. It doesn't matter anymore. He's the reason the Blues are still in the playoff race, and if he can keep playing this way, he'll be the reason the Blues keep going forward.
You know, if they score.
This is your gameday thread. Enjoy it - there are only four more games left after tonight.
Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
