Blues At Blackhawks Morning Open Thread: Welcome Back, Marian Hossa.

Chicago's soccer-goal kicking forward returns tonight after a long stay on the IR.

Dilip Vishwanat

Poor Marian Hossa. He's gotten knocked around this season, and he's been out since March 18th with a shoulder injury. Of course, he's back tonight. Of course he is. He's given the Blues fits in the past, and this season is no exception. He has two assists in two games, and the Blues are going to have to keep an eye on him.

Hey, that's why they traded for Jordan Leopold and Jay Bouwmeester, right? The Blues' newest acquisition should make his debut next to Alex Pietrangelo, while Leopold will stick with Kevin Shattenkirk. Shatty scored a goal against the Wild on Monday night; the game was also Leopold's debut. Coincidence? Who knows -- it's a small sample size. All I know is that Barret Jackman and Roman Polak better have chemistry.

Go on and make your predictions this morning. I'll be back later with the preview and the GDT. The Hawks have lost a whopping five games in regulation, and the Blues have to deal with them three more times this season counting tonight. There's still a chance St. Louis wins this season series. Here's hoping our new guys help.
