Blues Release Pre-Season Schedule

Games against Dallas, Minnesota, and Tampa Bay are on tap.

Dilip Vishwanat

It's amazing to think that in two short months, we will be back in Scottrade Center watching hockey. Sure, it's meaningless pre-season hockey, but it's hockey nonetheless. The Blues have released their pre-season schedule today:

Sunday, Sept. 15 at Dallas Stars - 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 18 vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (@ Orlando) - 6 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 20 vs. Tampa Bay Lightning - 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 21 vs. Dallas Stars - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Minnesota Wild - 7 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 27 vs. Minnesota Wild - 7 p.m.

Pre-season hockey and if it matters is shockingly divisive for such a mundane topic. Some folks consider it a waste of time, some folks are so hockey starved by September that they don't give a flying flip what kind of hockey they watch, as long as they watch some.

Normally I'm in the latter camp; attending pre-season games in Atlanta when the Thrashers were here was always a treat because I just loved being in the arena. I also approach pre-season games as a chance to see what the young kids are doing, and if any of the prospects really make a push for the roster. This pre-season all eyes will probably be on Ty Rattie; if it weren't for this, would you make the road trip to Chicago to see him play?

I'm sure that the games will be broadcast on KMOX; video feeds may be trickier. Sometimes the away teams will put in-house feeds up on their websites; I'm not sure if the Blues will be doing that or not.
