Jake Allen is hoping to bounce back after an embarrassing game Sunday night against the Dallas Stars, where he allowed five goals on 38 shots to the opposition, yet still wound up with the shootout win. He's the only Blues goalie to win this pre-season, as Brian Elliott allowed three goals and got a shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Jaroslav Halak, making his first start since March, allowed four goals against the Bolts last night.
Alex Steen and T.J. Oshie both potted goals last night, but it wasn't the best effort from the team. The Blues' usual top line is out tonight, but their top two forward lines still could cause some damage to the Stars. Centering the third line is Vladimir Sobotka, returning after a high hit knocked him out of Wednesday night's game.
