The Blues are hoping for some road momentum after their 4-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings last night.

Wee, wasn't last night just a fun game to watch? The sluggishness that plagued the Blues for the four games prior was nowhere to be found, probably because they smelled Griffins blood in the water.

The Blues won't be as lucky tonight, because they won't be playing an AHL team. The upshot is that they will be playing a Devils team who just looks like they've been skating through mud. Not because they're trapping again, but because they're just slow. They don't have a scoring punch, they don't have that fire.

Tonight's goalies have shockingly similar stats. Brian Elliott's GAA is 1.93, Cory Schneider's is 1.91. Elliott's save percentage is .922, Schneider's is .924. Each have three shutouts this season. But Elliott's record is 13-3-2; Schneider's is 7-9-7. That right there is proof of a goalie who just isn't getting goal support

This is your GameDay Thread. Early puck drop at 6:00 Central tonight, so grab dinner on the way home from work, order a pizza, have some frosty beer. One of these two teams might just play some exciting hockey tonight. The other one's the Devils.
