The Blues want to enter into the Olympic Break tops in the Central Division, and this last road game might get them two more points toward their goal. The Carolina Hurricanes, though, are not an easy opponent. Remember back in November when the Blues spotted the Canes a couple of shorthanded goals? Let's not have that happen tonight.
Both teams are 6-4-0 in their last ten games. A win tonight'd give the Blues' 79 points to close out the month of January. They still have two full months and a couple of weeks left in this season - this is easily shaping up to be one of the team's best ever.
Halak's allowed just four goals on 94 shots in his last three starts. He has a 1.31 GAA in those games, and the Hurricanes should have their work cut out for them tonight if they want to get some pucks past him.
But, you know, our goalies both suck.
This is your Gameday Thread. Comment like a hurricane.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
