GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Edmonton Oilers, Jan 7, 2014

Edmonton might have the "Best Ice in the NHL," but Andy McDonald is still less likely to get a concussion on the ice on St. Louis streets.

The Edmonton Oilers are probably not happy to see the Blues again. After the embarrassing 6-0 loss, complete with Chris Stewart hat trick, that the Blues handed them, one of two things is bound to happen tonight. One, the Oilers are going to come out angry and be a threat or two, the Oilers will be angry for the first five minutes, fade, and the Blues will win again.

Brian Elliott is back in net tonight considering he's on one of his month-long tears, and Ilya Bryzgalov is in net for Edmonton because why not? Does it really make a difference which of their goaltenders is in net when the team has absolutely no defense whatsoever? Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, and Jacques Plante could all three be in net for the Oilers at the same time and they'd still wind up giving up 5 goals.

This is your gameday thread. Comment like it'll keep you warm, because it's damn cold in STL right now.

Let's do this.

Let's Go Blues.
