GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Arizona Coyotes, Oct 18, 2014

The Blues are in the desert to sweat out a game with the so-far not half bad Arizona Coyotes.

Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

The Blues have 14 back to backs this season, which were facilitated by the likes of the huge break that just ended. There's a three-day layoff between tomorrow's game against the Anaheim Ducks and Thursday's against the Vancouver Canucks, and then they plod into a jam-packed November. Pick up the points now guys - there's no excuse not to.

Jake Allen will debut tonight, though the starter for the Coyotes hasn't been announced yet. Keep your fingers crossed that it's Mike Smith. Smith is 1-1-0 for the season, but he's allowed 10 goals in two games, including six to the Winnipeg Jets in the Coyotes' home opener. He has to get starts to get back on track; it'd be great if he could get the start but postpone getting back on track.

From Jeremy Rutherford and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, here're tonight's lines:

Forwards

Patrik Berglund-David Backes-T.J. Oshie

Alexander Steen-Paul Stastny-Joakim Lindstrom

Jaden Schwartz-Jori Lehtera-Vladimir Tarasenko

Steve Ott-Maxim Lapierre-Ryan Reaves

Defensemen

Ian Cole-Alex Pietrangelo

Jay Bouwmeester-Kevin Shattenkirk

Barret Jackman-Jordan Leopold

Goalie

Jake Allen

Don't forget, the Coyotes have added former Blue B.J. Crombeen to the mix, as well as St. Louisan Joe Vitale, late of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

This is your GameDay Thread. Let's outwork the Coyotes AND win. Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
