GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Anaheim Ducks, Oct 19, 2014

The Blues started the first back-to-back of the year with an emphatic win over the Arizona Coyotes. Can they close it out with one over the Anaheim Ducks?

Unfortunately, the Blues will be without Paul Stastny today thanks to an upper body injury sustained in yesterday's 6-1 dismantling of the Coyotes. Fortunately, the Blues were able to control that game shorthanded; with guys not pulling extended shifts tonight against the Ducks, it should work out well.

Unfortunately, the team seems to have a case of the flu going through, so not only will Magnus Pääjärvi get his first game under his belt, Chris Porter should be back in tonight. Petteri Lindbohm will have his first NHL start tonight.

For as good as the Blues have been in Arizona, they've been that bad in Anaheim. They've lost the last seven games they've played there against the Ducks going back to 2009, and are 1-5-1 in their last seven against them overall. California gives the Blues fits, and has for the past couple seasons. Tonight would be a good chance for the team to shake that off and finally take one in the Golden State. It may be tough - the Ducks are currently on a four game winning streak.

This is your gameday thread. Enjoy a game from California that doesn't start after everyone's bedtime.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
