Senators At Blues Morning Open Thread: Two For Two?

The Blues took care of the Senators on Saturday night; can Brian Elliott and the guys do the same tonight?

USA TODAY Sports

The Blues' secondary scoring seems to be picking up. Sure, Saturday's win against the Senators included the nearly obligatory beautiful goal from Vladimir Tarasenko, but the rest of the team contributed too. Maxim Lapierre potted the first one, while Alexander Steen snapped the game winner. Steve Ott assisted on Lapierre's goal, and he assisted on this beauty from Ryan Reaves Sunday afternoon in Winnipeg:

Toss in Steen's two assists and a power play goal by a very unhappy David Backes, and the Blues have been clicking on all cylinders. The first two games of their road trip left something to be desired; their last two are what fans want to see.

Fans will hopefully be seeing a balanced attack tonight at Scottrade. No word yet on Jay Bouwmeester coming back to re-start his iron man streak. Jake Allen's nice rebound job in Winnipeg where he stopped 28 of 30 SOG may not be enough to get him into the net tonight; Brian Elliott put the kibosh on 24 of 26 Sens shots, closing the door on the team that drafted him.

This is your morning open thread. Chat it up, and check back later for a Memorabilia Memories, your game preview, and the GDT. In the meantime, say hi to the nice folks at Silver Seven again, and take it easy today. Remember: a few more days and it's Thanksgiving.
