Dec. 10, 2014
VALLEY CITY, UT --- Joe Howe made 41 saves, including 20 in the second period and the Alaska Aces were denied by the buzzer on a game-tying chance, dropping a 4-3 defeat to the Utah Grizzlies at Maverik Center on Wednesday.
The Aces, bidding for an extra attacker goal in the final seconds, were denied when an apparent Olivier Archambault goal, with no time left, was turned away after his backhander appeared to fall short in beating the final horn. Utah took the first meeting of the season between both teams, while Greg Wolfe furnished a two-goal game and Tim Coffman added a pair of assists.

Dec. 12, 2014
BOISE, ID --- Matt Case’s go-ahead goal at 4:06 of the third period stood as the eventual game winning goal to help the Idaho Steelheads sneak by the Alaska Aces, 2-1 before 4,584 fans at CenturyLink Arena on Friday night.
Idaho took only their second win in five games in the head-to-head series this season and Colten Hayes logged the only Aces goal in the second period. Former Aces netminder Olivier Roy won his first game in three tries against his old club with 22 saves.
Niklas Lundström, who stymied Idaho with three impressive saves in the final 40 minutes, made 30 saves in the defeat.
--------------------
Dec. 13, 2014
BOISE, ID --- Brett Robinson scored twice, Wade MacLeod earned three assists and the Alaska Aces were unable to climb out of an early deficit, dropping a 6-4 defeat to the Idaho Steelheads before 4,034 fans at CenturyLink Arena on Saturday.
The Aces ended their six-game road trip, currently the longest of the season, at 2-4-0 and return home with hopes of snapping a four-game losing skid next Wednesday at Sullivan Arena against the Bakersfield Condors.
--------------------
ACES IN THE HOLE: Rookie winger Ryan Tesink was a healthy scratch for all three games again this week ... Fellow rookie Jacob Doty noched his first pro point, an assist, in Wednesday's loss at Utah.
