The last time the Blues and Kings squared off, the Kings beat the Blues 1-0 in a shootout duel. Since then, the Kings haven't exactly been sputtering - they're five games over .500 - but they haven't played very dominant hockey. Their current road trip has been an exercise in meh, with them taking a 1-2-1 record into tonight's game. In their last ten, they're 4-4-2, while the Blues are 7-2-1.
On October 16th, the Blues outshot the Kings 43-18, and still lost, thanks to a masterful performance by Jonathan Quick. Who quick's equivalent is tonight is anybody's guess - Hitchcock is being coy. Whoever is in net for the Blues tonight, they're going to have their work cut out for them. The Kings have won nine of their last eleven games against St, Louis.
