GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Los Angeles Kings, Dec 18, 2014

The suddenly Schwartz-less Blues are heading out for a late game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The injury to Jaden Schwartz's foot has left a sizable hole in the line-up and the STL Line, but reinforcements in the form of Dmitrij Jaskin are here, so we're all cool.

I mean, unless we get another Ottherasenko line tonight, then that might be cause for concern.

Seriously, though, tonight's game should be a good one. The Kings are more than likely looking for revenge, the Blues are starting Martin Brodeur for the first time in three games, and puck drop isn't until 9:30 St. Louis time. If you can stay awake for this one, you can stay awake for anything. Hopefully the Blues' fireworks happen in the first period; if you have to wait until the third to see another Tarasenko hat trick, you might not make it.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you're a Bruins beat writer tossing out trade proposals.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
