Paajarvi placed on waivers

Hitchcock never liked him so this isn't very surprising.

Here is a quick player usage chart showing his usage with the Edmonton Oilers and with the St. Louis Blues. As you can see, he never saw a lot of ice time. He has only played 91 minutes for far at roughly the halfway point of the season. In the limited time he has played, his fenwick percentage is at 50% while his relative fenwick (Paajarvi on ice versus when he isn't on ice) is just slightly negative.

The only thing I can think of is that Hitchcock must see something in him during practice that we are not privy to as fans.  But the bottomline is that Magnus has never gotten a chance with this team. It is a shame to see them give him away so easily, especially if it is for the purpose of keeping three goaltenders on the roster.
