GameThread for St. Louis Blues at Chicago Blackhawks, Dec 3, 2014

Jake Allen gets the start tonight, but all eyes will be on Martin Brodeur riding the pine.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Hawks have some injured goalie issues: Corey Crawford is out for two to three weeks. Did they run out and sign an aging future all of famer? Nah. It's just Antti Raanta in net tonight. The Blues took down Raanta 3-2 back in October at Scottrade.

The Blues' game against the Hawks at Scottrade versus how they play against the Hawks in Chicago is a fantastic example of how home ice advantage can make or break a team. The Blues are winless in their last five at the United Center, and the Blackhawks' home record is a solid 7-3-1. The Blues need to overcome the deafaning roar of 20,000 people complaining about overpriced tickets at once.

This is your gameday thread. Comment like you're correcting the broadcast crew's pronunciation of Blues' players names.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
