Wild At Blues Morning Open Thread: Let The Homestand Commense!

The Blues have a long homestand ahead of them beginning tonight against the Minnesota Wild. Will it begin with a win?

Hannah Foslien

The Wild(s) are comfortably in fourth place in the Central Division, 11 points behind third-place Colorado and six points ahead of fifth place Dallas. They're also, by virtue of the wild card system and many teams being worse than they are, in a playoff spot. They're in the first slot, three points ahead of Phoenix and six ahead of Dallas. Chances are good that they will play the winner of the Pacific Division.

The Wild(s) played Vancouver last night, and the Blues rested. The Minnesota has a 14-16-6 road record, the Blues have a 25-5-4 home record. I like their odds.

This is your morning open thread. Discuss things here, like how you're happy you only had to deal with two feet of snow this winter instead of 20. Check back later for a Hot or Not, today's Lighting the Lamp, your preview and your GDT, and finally a recap from, um... someone.

While you're waiting, head on over to Hockey Wilderness and see what their take on this whole game thing is.
