After last night's clunker of a loss to the Vancouver Canucks, the Minnesota Wild are just three points up on the Phoenix Coyotes for the first wild card spot. The Yotes play New Jersey, and the Wild are here, in St. Louis.
Why does this matter? The first round matchup, of course. If the Blues finish top in the West, they get number two, which would be a very Mike Smith-less Phoenix team. However, there's always the possibility of them getting a Minnesota team that they have absolutely plowed through the past few seasons.
And of course, Minny has Ilya Bryzgalov in net. Bryzgalov is scared of bears. Louie is a bear. We want Minnesota.
This is your GameDay Thread: Comment like you need to stay awake because the Wild(s) are putting you to sleep.
Let's get this homestand off on the right foot.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
