GameThread for Detroit Red Wings at St. Louis Blues, Apr 13, 2014

The Blues wrap up their generally successful 2013-2014 season today beaten, bruised, and battered - but hopefully not down and out.

Almost done. Almost there. Almost playoffs time.

But the Blues' aren't done yet.

After an excellent season sputtered to a halt at the beginning of this month, and injuries started mounting up, the Colorado Avalanche have been able to perch atop of the Central Division. A point today and an Avs loss to the Ducks and the Blues pull another last second miracle out of their asses.

Weirder things have happened than a team sporting seven AHL caliber forwards beating the Red Wings. Thinking about what they could be are drawing a blank, but I know for a fact that weirder things've happened.

Hitchcock doesn't seem too concerned - his mantra right now are "there are worse things." I agree. There are better things, too, Hitch. Lots better.

This is your last GDT of the 2013-2014 NHL regular season. Comment like your posts are magical claps that can bring our seven broken players back to life.

Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
