CHICAGO WOLVES (AHL):
After a strong finish to the regular season, and after rallying from a 2-1 series deficit to defeat the Rochester Americans in the first round, the Chicago Wolves journey to Toronto down two games to none in the AHL Western Conference semifinal.
The Wolves dropped the first two games to the Marlies by a combined score of 9-4.
Jake "The Snake" Allen, after winning the Baz Bastien Award as the AHL's top goaltender in the regular season, has been pedestrian in the playoffs with a 3-4 record, 3.21 GAA and 87.9 save percentage. Rookie Dmitrij Jaskin leads the team in playoff scoring with a 3-5-8 scoring line (even, 8 PM, 2 PPG, 2 GWG) in seven games, and winger Sebastian Wännström has stepped up his contribution with a goal and three points (plus-2, 4 PM, 1 SHG) in five games.

INDIANA ICE (USHL):
After racing to the best record in the USHL's Eastern Conference in the regular season, and after dispatching the Green Bay Gamblers and Dubuque Fighting Saints in the first two playoff rounds, coach Jeff Brown's Indiana Ice split a pair of games against the Waterloo Black Hawks in the Clark Cup Final series.
The Ice can claim the second Clark Cup in franchise history by winning both games at home -- where they have lost just once in the playoffs this year -- this coming weekend.
Right wing Sam Kurker is the only Blues' prospect outside the AHL who is still active in this season's playoffs. Kurker currently sits third on the Ice, and 16th in the USHL, in playoff scoring with three goals and six points (plus-4, 6 PM, 1 GWG) in nine games played.

COMING UP:
In the return of "The '14 File" at 1414 hours (2:14 PM CDT for you civilians), we'll take a closer look at players that the Blues might have a shot at late in the first round, now that they've failed to meet the conditions that would have sent that pick to Buffalo in the Miller deal. At 3:00 PM CDT, in our "Trending Up" feature, we'll post the final Three Star Point Standings for the year, and at 4:00 PM CDT, we'll update 2013-14 scoring and goaltending stats for the entire Blues' prospect stable.
