So how do the Blues fare when you look at Corsi over the last 5 years? I looked at the model
LinearModel.2 = lm(CORSION ~ NAME, data=Corsi5y, weights=Minutes)
which gave me parameter estimates for each player, as well as a precision of the estimate. I ranked the players by t-value, which is estimate/precision. So Tarasenko has an estimated value of 17.43 and Steen has an estimate of 12.75, but Steen ranks higher because his standard error of the estimate is 2.5 and Tarasenko, having played less, has a standard error of 4.6. Rank is their rank in the NHL as a whole.
