Blues To Open Development Camp To Public Again; Need Some Help From Game Timers

Since this announcement came so late, your GTPD isn't able to get vacation time to be able to attend this camp, and a last-minute flight from Redneckistan Phoenix and back is $600 round trip, which isn't in the budget at this time. So I'm asking for some help from any locals who have digital cameras and are planning to attend...

2014 first-round pick Robbie Fabbri is just one of the Blues' prospects who will be attending Development Camp this coming week.

Development Camp Set for July 7-9.

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues announced today the club will hold Development Camp from July 7-9 at the Ice Zone at St. Louis Outlet Mall.
The camp will be attended by 22 prospects in the Blues’ system, including nine of the Blues' 10 picks at the 2014 NHL Draft.
In addition, 2013 second-round pick Thomas Vannelli (47th overall) and 2012 first-round pick Jordan Schmaltz (25th overall) will participate in the camp, which will include on-ice and off-ice workouts.
All players will be on the ice Monday, July 7 at 3 p.m. On July 8 and July 9, players will be divided into groups, with Group 1 skating at 2 p.m. and Group 2 skating at 3 p.m.
All on-ice events are free and open to the public.

It sure would have been nice if the Blues would have announced a couple of weeks ago that they were going to open the Development Camp to the public again this year. This event has been immensely popular in the past, and the team's decision to forego having this event for the last few years may not have been the wisest PR move the organization has ever made.

Anyway, as noted above, the timing of this announcement has made it impossible for your GTPD to attend in person... and thus, I am asking for some help from those of you who will be in attendance.

We need as many good digital photos of the prospects as you all can take... especially of the Europeans -- Lundstrom, Lindbohm, Saari -- and the college guys like Maceachern, Parayko and Kurker. If anyone can get good headshots of each of the prospects in attendance, that would be especially welcome. Good individual and group action shots -- and video, if you can swing it -- would also be great.

Everything that ends up being used on the site will, of course, be credited to the individual who provided the photo or video.

If anyone wants to try his or her hand at interviewing any of the prospects, I will be glad to provide a list of the questions I would ask if I were able to attend myself. I will be contacting the junior and college clubs for each of the prospects to try and make arrangements for a phone interview somewhere down the line... but if anyone is able to get a decent quote or two, or even a full interview, it would be an enormous help.

All of this will go a long way towards further cementing "Game Time" as THE place for Blues fans to go for the most comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the future of the team. I'm seriously bummed that I cannot be there myself to do this, but I know that there are some of you out there who are as interested as I am in the Blues' prospects, and I am counting on your help.

Thanks in advance, and feel free to look me up on Facebook or drop me a line at...
