Jake Allen will be the goalie of choice tonight in Kansas City, as the Blues try to get that elusive first win.

No, Jake Allen did not play well during the Blues' pre-season opener in Columbus this past Sunday, though part of that was rust and part of that was Chris Butler.

Tonight it won't even be Chris Butler, who is fighting for a roster spot but who more than likely will be the Blues' first call-up in case of injury. From STLBlues.com:

Forwards: Patrik Berglund, Robby Fabbri, Dmitrij Jaskin, Maxim Lapierre, John McCarthy, Philip McRae, T.J. Oshie,Steve Ott, Chris Porter, Ty Rattie, Ryan Reaves, Paul Stastny

Defense: Jay Bouwmeester, Ian Cole, Jordan Leopold, Petteri Lindbohm, Brent Regner, Kevin Shattenkirk

Goalies: Jake Allen, Jordan Binnington

There will be no local TV coverage of the game, of course, but there will also be no local radio coverage presumably because of the Cardinals at Diamondbacks game that starts at about the same time. Pennant chasing takes precedenceover pre-season.

There's also no video stream available from the Stars, either, or audio.

So, if a hockey game happens with no live traditional mass media coverage, does it really happen?
