GameThread for Detroit Red Wings at St. Louis Blues, Jan 15, 2015

It's been a while since the Red Wings have come to town. Can the Blues keep their streak alive against their old rivals?

We will probably see this at least once tonight.

These two teams are pretty statistically close.

The Blues have won the last three of four games against Detroit, and have only lost three games in regulation against Eastern Conference opponents this season. Are the Red Wings just another Eastern Conference opponent? No, because a) they've been in the same division as the Blues for eons (games played against them are second to the games played against the Blackhawks) and b) because the Wings are really, really good. They are the break in this homestand between slumping teams that the Blues should beat handily. They are the challenge to make sure that the Blues are on their toes.

This is your gameday thread. Comment like you really really dislike that team in red.

Let's do this. Let's go Blues.
