GameThread for St. Louis Blues at San Jose Sharks, Jan 3, 2015

The last time that the Blues played the Sharks, it looked like they were going to skate out of San Jose with a win. Unfortunately they allowed the game tying goal with just 21 seconds left and lost in overtime 3-2. Such was the Blues' December. Such is how the Blues' January began, with a decent offensive effort squandered by defensive brain-farts.

Jaden Schwartz is back; Jumbo Joe Thornton is out for the Sharks. Will this impact either team? Probably, but the outcome of the game shouldn't depend upon one person being absent from the line-up. Ideally it shouldn't depend on one person in any aspect of anything, but as we saw last night, one man's lapse is another man's goal.
