The Blues never make anything easy on themselves. Even when they are clearly the better team, they still give up the first goal and still gave Edmonton 5 power play opportunities. Fortunately, the Blues killed all 5 penalties, so it didn't cost them. The Blues got the win, and better yet didn't lose any players.
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Really though, can we not play with fire so much? With the aggressive style the Blues are trying to employ, I suppose an increase in penalties is a natural consequence. It's damn nerve-wracking, though. The bright side I suppose is that tonight's opponent is amongst the worst in the league in power plays. The Canucks have 1 PPG in 13 opportunities. With the Sedin Twins and the rest of the team's talent, that seems.... low. Either their PP absolutely sucks, or they are extremely due. I'd like for the Blues to avoid finding out.
The Blues have now won 8 games straight against the Oilers. Against the Canucks, however, they were swept in the season series last year, and the Blues have not beat the Canucks in regulation in 11 games. For some reason, they've had our number in the past. Here's a good chance to turn that around. Vancouver is currently 3-0-1 and in first place in the Pacific. Who saw that coming?
Scott Gomez might make his Blues debut tonight. Jake Allen will be starting tonight, and the Canucks will likely play Ryan Miller again. Miller will be starting his 5th straight game, and so far this season has a .955 save percentage.
I might be starting a fifth tonight as well.
Am I just paranoid?
Or am I just stoned

Final Verse: Thank God It's Friday! The puck drops at 9:00 PM St Louis time, and the GDT should drop shortly before that. Put the kids to bed, break out the hard liquor, and come hang out with us. Remember, whiskey and rum can be mixed with Coke if you need some caffeine to stay up. The TV broadcast will be on Fox Sports MW, and the radio call will be on KMOX 1120 AM.
And of course, a Vancouver game wouldn't be complete without some Sedin shenanigans:
