The Vancouver Canucks are one of the league's early-season surprises, going 3-0-1 so far. Former Blues goalie Ryan Miller is having a solid beginning, posting a 1.21 GAA and a .955 save percentage. Fellow former Blue Adam Cracknell has 2(!) goals.
Basically, it's time for all of this to come back to earth. A win by the Blues would go a long way to that. Unfortunately, the Blues went 0-2-1 against the Canucks last season. But that was last year, not this year, and there's always a chance to change that with every season. Bad teams, like the Oilers, are going to be easy to beat consistently over multiple seasons. The Canucks, despite recent struggles, are not a bad team. They're 9-0-2 against the Blues going back to 2011. A victory tonight for Jake Allen would be a nice start to reversing that trend.
This is your morning open thread. Check back later for some Road Music from CCR, and while you're waiting to find out if Scott Gomez is playing, head over to our friends at Nucks Misconduct and say hi.
