Blues News:

• The Blues went into the unfriendly city of Vancouver BC last night and (almost) beat the Canucks 4-1 in their (almost) first complete effort of the season. Some guy names Justin has a recap thingy for you. [STLGT]
  
• The asshats at Nucks Misconduct had a different take on the game. They also called several of the Blues 'mouth breathers' and whined about the play where McCann mostly spun off a Backes hit and fell down. Maybe they're just bitter because they have the dumbest fucking site name in all of SBN.  Seriously, Nuck's Misconduct?  You're going to stick with that, huh? [Oxygen thieves from BC]
  
• Colton Parayko is good at hockey, volume 3.  We've all been surprised by the poise (and glass breaking cannon) of our new young giant with a strangely Russian sounding last name (seriously, doesn't Parayko sound more 'former Soviet bloc' and less 'Alberta, Canada')? Well Buffa82 wants us all to calm down for a second and be patient with the 22 year-old tower of power. [STLGT]
  
• I live in an area dominated by Cubs fans.  Those people are also usually Blackhawks fans.  When the Blackhawks go deeper in to the postseason than the Blues (always) I fucking love the Cardinals.  Only because I can use that red jersey to dig into the souls of those Cubs fans. The rest of the time, I hate baseball altogether.  I was never very good at it. It bores the shit out of me. And I let that come through sometimes in the stuff I write.  So I was worried for a second that Hildy was scolding me with her poetic treatise on being mature and responsible Blues fans.  Fortunately she was taking some shithead from the RFT to task, not me. So, listen to Hildy, be better than me, love the fucking Cardinals and their long history of winning a lot more than the Blues. [STLGT]
  
• In keeping with the recent theme, the Blues traded the win for Paul Stastny, who went down with an injury from a blocked shot and didn't return to action.  Hitch is being vague as usual with the whole 'lower-body injury, we will know more tomorrow' talking point. I don't know why people even ask him anymore. [STL Today]
