After the Cardinals pulled a Blues, getting knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, it appears that the Blues are currently pulling a Cardinals.
So, at this rate of injuries, the #stlblues can expect 100 wins and a first-round exit, right? I feel like this story just ended. #stlcards

Now injured? Paul Stastny, who did not continue on with the team after a "lower body injury," which may have come after a shot block. If Scott Gomez was wondering if he would be staying in the line-up after Friday night, this gave him his answer. What does coach Ken Hitchcock have to say about this?
"We’ll see what they say when we get back," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I don’t know what the deal is right now. But he’s obviously not going to play the next two games and they’ll have news for us when we get back."
Perfect. Hopefully Stastny makes a quick return.
This is your morning open thread. While you're waiting for Brian Elliot to notch another win against Winnipeg, head over to the good folks at Arctic Ice Hockey, as they (with reservations) celebrate an excellent start to the season. Come back by in a little bit for your preview, and an early GDT - the game begins 2 PM Central Time.
