Jake Allen's shutout streak is at 165 minutes, 59 seconds. I've heard that's supposed to be pretty good. Tonight he's facing off against one of the best in the game, Henrik Lundqvist, and the very good New York Rangers. The Rangers lead the Metro Division with a 11-2-2, and 24 points, and they sport an impressive +20 goal differential. Even with two back-to-back shutouts and 12 goals in three games, the Blues' differential is at +11.
Ken Hitchcock is rolling out the same group that he did against the Devils. Will it work? The Rangers are a very different team, but if there's a squad that Ryan Reaves and Robert Bortuzzo can sit against, it's the finesse-y Rangers.
This is your morning open thread. Check back later for some Road Music from CCR and your GDT. While you're waiting, head over to Blueshirt Banter and see how they're approaching tonight's match up.
