GameThread for Winnipeg Jets at St. Louis Blues, Nov 16, 2015

Time to square off against the most penalized team in the league.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Winnipeg Jets get called for a lot of penalties, and got called for a ton of them Saturday night. They're mired in a five game losing streak, they're frustrated, and they're not sure what to do with Nick Petan and Alexander Burmistrov, two potentially lethal scorers who are consistently either scratched (Petan) or played on the fourth line (Burmistrov). Their goaltending, surprisingly good down the stretch last year, has faltered out the gate this season.

And they like to play rough against the Blues, which makes it so surprising that Ryan Reaves and Robert Bortuzzo aren't in. Perhaps the Blues don't want to stoop down to the Jets' and Anthony Peluso's level? Maybe scoring is more important tonight than scrumming?

There will be scrums. There also better be St. Louis goals.
